Gingerbread Haka

OK Ladies and Gentlemen, its all on for young and old. The Rugby World-Cup will start shortly and end even sooner. The question is at the end of the day will it be the Ruckbee World Cup or the Roogby World Cup that will be held high?

Love to know your pick for the finals. Leave a comment on this post.

Ever seen a green tongue like this one?

In ya Facebook

I’ve just joined the social networking site Facebook at The site has not only been able to bring your various personal connections together in one place, it also has a lot of fun activities to help in building fun relationships.

One of the quaint little things I found here was the ability to make your ‘own’ Simpson’s Avatar. So meet my alter-ego, Aldanon. Oh and later in the evening I found you could make a ‘Simpsons Lookalike’ at as well. EMail me your Simpsons character if you make one.

The Human Network

A lot of people feel that the global push for technology has isolated individuals. The fear is that we have become disconnected elements rather than a cohesive community. We need to reassess the status of our connection. Is it true that we stay at home with noses glowing from the luminosity of our LCD screens and fingers poised in gaming or chat attack positions at a keyboard cowering from abuse?

Who is this GOD?

Just a thought that occurred to me during church last weekend.

OMNISCIENT He knows me He sees all Tomorrow
OMNIPOTENT He is able He creates all Today
OMNIPRESENCE He is here He is with all Yesterday

In business they say you need to get a view from 30,000ft.

We all need a launching pad

I was clearing some material from around my desk recently and I found a note from John Fabrin, friend and CEO for the Rhema Broadcasting Group in New Zealand. At a past conference John had grabbed a piece of paper and written the words "The Message – Ephesians 1:11 – It’s Cool!" And he’s right. This note from John has been stuck on my whiteboard for a long time, reminding me of its very special content. Let me show you what I mean.

It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. Ephesians 1:11 (The Message)

I love the background, present impact and future hope of this verse. Here we find that even before we contemplated our position in life. God had a plan for us. Bringing that to bear he desires that we be experiencing ‘glorious living’. I’m into that. But it doesn’t stop there. We find that by knowing why we were created, we can take the ‘for’ out of this verse and use it for giving life ‘hope’ and a reason to turn up tomorrow.
